Top 10 Tuesday 8th November

Top 10 Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish: http://www.brokeandbookish.com/

This week the topic for top 10 Tuesday is: Ten Books I’ve Added To My To-Be-Read List Lately. I like this topic because its the beginning of a new month and I have bought lots of new books recently.

My TBR list includes these 10 new books 🙂

1.Girl Online Going Solo by Zoe Sugg.

I’ve added this to by TBR list, because it gets released on the 17th of this month. I’m quite excited for this book as it is the 3rd book in the Girl Online series! I wanted to add a description or a blurb to this book, but since it has not been released yet, I wont.

2. Someday, Someday Maybe by Lauren Graham.

Lauren Graham is one of my favourite actresses and when I found out a few months back that she is also an author I just had to buy her book and add it to my TBR 🙂 someday-someday-maybe-by-lauren-graham.jpg

‘ Franny Banks has just six months left of the three-year deadline she set herself when she came to New York, dreaming of Broadway and doing ‘important’ work. But all she has to show for her efforts is a part in an ad for ugly Christmas sweaters. She needs a backup plan because she’s not ready to give up on her goal of having a career like her idols Diane Keaton and Meryl Streep. Not just yet.’

3. A court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass.

This one because of all the good reviews I have hearda-court-of-thorns-and-roses. It sounds amazing and seems like my type of book 🙂

‘Feyre is  huntress.

She thinks nothing of slaughtering wolf to capture its prey. But, like all mortals, she fears what lingers mercilessly beyond the forest. And she will learn that taking the life of a magical creature comes at a high price…

Imprisoned in an enchanted court in her enemy’s kingdom, Feyre is free to roam but forbidden to escape. Her captor’s body bears the scars of fighting, and his face is always masked – but his piercing stare draws her ever closer. As Feyre’s feelings for Tamlin begin to burn through every warning she’s been told about his kind, an ancient, wicked shadow grows.

Feyre must find a way to break a spell, or lose her heart forever.’

4. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass.

Again, because of all the reviews and because it was on my local book stores top 101 book shelf 🙂

6. All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.

I had to add this to TBR after hearing Zoella, who is a You tuber, add it to her book club. She had high recommendations for this book 🙂

‘Theodore Finch wants to take his own life. I’m broken, and no one can fixt it.

Violet Markey is devastated by her sister’s death. In that instant we went ploughing through the guardrail, my words died too.

They meet on the ledge of the school bell tower, and so their story begins. It’s only together they can be themselves….

I send a message to violet: ‘You are all the colours in one, at full brightness.’

‘You’re so weird, Finch. But that’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever said to me.’

7. Where she went by Gayle Forman.

This book is the second story to If I stay So I just had to add it to my TBR list because If I Stay was just beautiful.

‘It’s been three years since Mia walked out of Adam’s life. And three years he’s spent wondering why.

When their paths cross again in New York City, Adam and Mia are brought back together for one life-changing night. Adam finally has the opportunity to ask Mia the questions that have been haunting him. But will a few hours in this magical city be enough to lay their past to rest, for good – or can you really have a second chance at first love?’

8. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.

I’ve heard a lot about this book, and I got intrigued.

illuminae-kaufman-kristoff.jpgThis morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do.

This afternoon, her planet was invaded.

The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporation’s are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.

But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet’s AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it’s clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: the ex-boyfriend she swore she’d never speak to again.’

9.  We Were Liars by E. Lockhart.

This book intrigued me. A lot of books intrigue me, especially when they are young adult books 🙂we-were-liars

‘ A beautiful and distinguished family. A Private island. A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy. A group of four – friends – the liars – whose friendship turns destructive. A revolution. An accident. A secret. Lies upon lies. True love. The truth.’

10. The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon.

This book has had so many good reviews so I just had to grab it! 9781620401392_custom-7b685c3426b519eaa2745c21ff4462bdbc179f56-s6-c30-jpeg

  1. I just went a little crazy of the book depository and ordered a whole bunch of different books to read over the next few weeks (probably months if life and anime have thier way). Really looking forward to their arrival. Mostly sci-fi and fantasy but some YA lit as well for something a bit quicker and easier to read in amongst distractions.
