  • Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)
  • Your favourite line/scene

My Friday book share/ Friday Read is Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle! I Love this book, it’s perfect to read during winter or around the Christmas Holiday Season. This Book has three short stories but they all intertwine and end up having all the characters know or meet each other in some form and it’s just so amazing how it was done. I read this book back in August during my winter months, the title of the book made me want to read it because I’ve always wanted snow during winter, but I live in Tasmania so we never get snow 😦 .So this book was perfect for me to read during the cold winter months.

First Line of the Book:

Because this is three stories in one book, I’m going to include the first line from each story! 🙂

  • Story 1: The Jubilee Express by Maureen Johnson:

‘It was the night before Christmas.’

  • Story 2: A Cheertastic Christmas Miracle by John Green:

‘JP and the Duke and I were four movies in to our James Bond Marathon when my mother called home for the sixth time in five hours.’

  • Story 3: The Patron Saint of Pigs by Lauren Myracle:

‘Being me sucked. Being me on this supposedly gorgeous night, with the supposedly gorgeous snow looming in five-foot drifts outside my bedroom window, double-sucked.’

Recruit Fans by adding the book blurb:

The worst blizzard for fifty years, Three wintry love stories. One Magical Night.

It’s Christmas Eve and Gracetown has been buried by snow. But the weather is more than jut an inconvenience. When one girl unexpectedly steps off a stranded train, she sets off a series of life-changing events.

Soon fourteen pumped-up cheerleaders will descend on the local Waffle House, the Duke’s DVD night will be rudely interrupted for a Twister mission, and a lovesick barista will determine the fate of a single teacup pig…

As the three stories collide, strangers cross paths and romance blossoms with heat-warming consequences.

Introduce the main character using only 3 words

Jubilee: sarcastic, lonely, heartbroken

JP: excitement, out going, sensitive

Addie: depressed, lost, re-found

Delightful design (add the cover image of the book)

Audience appeal (who would enjoy reading this book?)

Anyone that loves a holiday romance! It’s just absolutely beautiful!

Your favourite line/scene

This is a tough one because I loved this book so much. But I would have to say my favourite parts was when Jubilee found a new guy that loved her for who she was after she found out the guy she was dating at the beginning of the story was just using her because of social norms and standards because of his family name being wealthy.
